The Northface MEN's SINGLE-TRACK review

With my aggression running schedule up at Bear Mountain the soles of my feet were paying for it dearly. (If you have ever ran with me up at Harriman State Park or did the Northface Challenge you'll understand what I mean).

First thing I noticed, These shoes are one of the lightest trail running sneakers I ever owned. Rated at 11.5 (size 10.5) they felt much lighter then my current favorite Trail sneakers (asics GEL-Trail Attack® 5 WR at 11.9 oz). The Traction on the trails were amazing, I found myself going left and right down hills with great ease and when I hit the road, turns were instant as well. Very confident going down hill on my practice run at Baysides Cunyingham Park. I also noticed when on my fast downhill descents, I barely noticed the rocky terrian as much as with my asics.

The other day I went for a light run and got caught in a wicked WICKED rain storm about 4 miles away from home. Im sure no sneaker in the world would've kepth my feet dry in the nasty down pour but the the sneaker seemed to hold all the water like a bucket, (I need a drain hole!).

Pros: Great under foot protection yet still light weight feeling, Looks great in white,
Cons: No water protection at all, They run wide (which is great since I have wide feet), pricey, White color will not last long and the other color is ugly (IMO).
